ROAD USERS : BRP Road Products are designed to improve road safety.

Road maintenance is improved by the product being prefabricated and easily available. There is no waiting for specialised machinery or manufacturing plants to produce materials traditionally necessary for road repair. Therefore defects should be repaired before they become hazardous to road users.

The product allows asset managers a tool to cost effectively implement early intervention strategies this will result in less unsealed surface defects and associated reduction in accumulating aggregate on the road surface

The properties associated with rubberised bitumen and pre-coated sealing chip offer a technically superior chip seal solution. The product has been designed to minimise chip loss, this is a major benefit for a chip seal repair.

TRAFFIC CALMING: Traffic Calming is achieved by introducing BRP Traffic Calming Products where appropriate. Accidents are reduced if not eliminated when driver’s behaviours are modified by these products.

Cost effective solutions result from using BRP prefabricated products. This enables budgets to improve the safety for a greater number of people. Vehicles, cyclists and pedestrians can all benefit from well designed traffic calming installations. Traffic behaviour around schools, hospitals etc. can be modified at low cost to improve the safety for all.

FIELD STAFF: The health and safety of field staff is a major consideration in the preparation and packaging of BRP Road Products. The prefabricated nature of the BRP Road Products reduces the time spent on site effecting the repair. This reduces the time staff need on site to complete the repair therefore reducing their risk to traffic hazards. The product does not require the application of heat, pressure or specialised equipment in the installation process. The product has no volatiles and uses emulsion to adhere to the surface under repair.
