RUT FILLING
 
Rut filling can be successfully achieved to tighten tolerances by selecting a single sheet or multiple sheets. Removal or treatment of the existing surface is unnecessary. After construction BRP Road Patch provides good surface texture and loose chip is minimal.
 
SEALING BRIDGE JOINTS
 
BRP Road products are ideal for sealing over bridge joints due to the elastic properties of the rubberised bitumen. The waterproof nature is retained despite constant joint movement. It successfully adheres to a range of material types making it ideal for sealing over bridge joints.
 
SEALING BRIDGE DECKS
 
BRP Road Patch provides a lightweight seal coat with flexibility due to the rubberised bitumen, in addition it provides a completely waterproof seal. The mass is up to 3 times lighter than the equivalent ac or asphalt overlay.
 
REPAIR OF UNEVEN BRIDGE JOINTS
 
Settlement of approach and departure lanes can be rectified by building the low areas with BRP Road Patch. In a similar way to BRP Rut filling by merely utilising a single layer or multiple layers of varying aggregate sizes to achieve the desired level. This re-leveling reduces the impact loading from HCV/HGV on the bridge structure and avoids damage to the departure lanes pavements.
 
CONSTRUCTION OF BERMS (BUNDS)
 
Waterproof berms (bunds) can be installed to control stormwater run-off to avoid scouring and damage to property and the environment. A variety of berm/bund height and shapes can be achieved.
 
STORMWATER CULVERT LININGS
 
Worn culvert inverts can be reinstated using BRP Road Patch. This can dramatically extend the service life of medium to large size culverts. A minimum of time is necessary to install BRP Road Patch thus reducing the complications associated with temporary diversions or pumping options.
 
SEALING AROUND MAN-HOLE LIDS AND UTILITY COVERS
 
Sealing around man-hole lids and utility lids ensures the seal-coat integrity remains for many years due to the elasticity of the rubberised bitumen. The substrate can be base course, concrete or asphalt depending on the technique used to secure the frame or surface box. The ease of cutting BRP Road Patch to any shape ensures tidy, waterproof jointing around all fixtures. The overlap on to existing surfacing materials avoids the common failure mechanism associated with brittle, non-elastic alternatives.
 
TEXTURISING
 
Immediate texture improvement can be achieved using BRP Road Patch. Flush, bleeding or rounded stone can be successfully treated. Minimal loose chip/aggregate from BRP Road Patch ensures a safe texturised seal coat is achieved. The portability of BRP Road Patch makes it ideal for treatment of the smallest area with ease. Immediately following application BRP Road Patch can be trafficked and will accept tight-turning heavy loads without showing signs of distress. No establishment of machinery or waiting for product to be manufactured is necessary.
The broad range of aggregate sizes in the BRP Road Patch range allows the engineer to choose a compatible finish to adjacent surfacing.
 
REPAIR OF BLEEDING/FLUSHING SURFACE
 
Immediate restoration of surface texture in a bleeding or flushing application a larger aggregate size may be selected to provide increased reservoir space.
 
SEALING OF FAILED JOINTS
 
The rubberised bitumen is ideal for bridging joints in typically found in aged repairs, cracked channels or lane widening can be repaired in a similar method to that of cracksealing.

SEALING OF JOINTS ON CONCRETE SLABS
 
Sealing over construction joints can significantly extend the life of the asset. Examples can be provided where BRP Road Patch has been used to arrest deterioration of construction joints in concrete, heavy duty commercial container handling facilities. The characteristics of BRP products provide a waterproof seal that remains competent under repetitive loading and turning of heavy commercial vehicles. The BRP product range is applicable for environmental and safety sensitive sites. The products emit no volatiles and do not require heat, or adhesion products of a volatile nature. No machinery is required to support the application. Pavements or structures can be trafficked immediately after application of BRP Road Patch or BRP Crackseal.
 
RAILWAY CROSSINGS
 
A common cause of failure around railway crossings is the interface between flexible roading pavements and less flexible railway infrastructure. Traditional sealing products offer little resilience at railway crossings and aggressive deterioration is visible soon after construction. The rubberised bitumen of BRP Road Patch allows constant flexing without deterioration to the waterproof properties of the seal coat.

PEDESTRIAN WALKWAYS (FOOTPATHS) AND BRIDGES
 

BRP Road Products can be used for a variety of applications. Providing a trafficable non-slip surface or sealing a footpath, the advantages are similar to those experienced in roading applications. The prefabricated sheets are easy to transport into difficult to access areas. Quality is not compromised due to access limitations for product and or equipment.
Application of BRP strips is a variation that will provide grip and confidence on ramps and steep inclines/declines.
